Artists in Residence Program

Art on the Square Artist in Residence Program

Art on the Square - Artist in ResidenceArtists in Residence is a community outreach program sponsored by area businesses and the Art on the Square Show. Each year, several schools in the area are selected to participate. Artists visit local schools during the week preceding the show to spend the day demonstrating their particular medium and often working with the students to create a piece of their very own work of art. Each year the program continues to grow; therefore, reaching more and more of the students and schools in the area. Bring art to the classrooms that do not have a regular curriculum or enriching the curriculum already in place is the focus of the Artists in Residence program.

The Belleville Public Library will be hosting a Mom and Tot workshop on May 18th at the West Branch from 9-10AM and then an adult class at the Main Branch from 1:30-3PM. Register at the library for an opportunity to hear about long-time Art on the Square artist, Yoram Gal and participate in an intimate workshop with him. Light refreshments will be served at both locations.
