Artist in Residence Program
Artist in Residence is a community outreach program sponsored by area businesses and the Art on the Square Show. Each year, several schools in the area are selected to participate. Artists visit local schools during the week preceding the show to spend the day demonstrating their particular medium and often working with the students to create a piece of their very own work of art. Each year the program continues to grow; therefore, reaching more and more of the students and schools in the area. Bringing unique art to the classrooms to enrich the curriculum is the focus of the Artist in Residence program.
