PR Images (Due Jan. 27):

Art on the Square does extensive advertising which includes design magazines, tourism materials and regional billboards. All these ads feature the work of selected artists. To have your work considered, you must send an image at 350dpi to dwilson520@aol.com immediately.

By accepting our invitation to the 2020 Art on the Square, the artist authorizes the use of the submitted application images or electronic reproductions thereof for Art on the Square publicity, documents or archival purposes without charge for a period of up to eighteen (18) months beginning January 27, 2020 for the sole purpose of promoting Art on the Square through printed materials, advertising and other Art on the Square-related materials.

Artist in Residence (Submit by Feb. 1):

Artist in Residence is a community outreach program sponsored by area businesses and Art on the Square which takes place prior to the opening of the show. It provides a stipend for selected artists to visit a local school for a day to demonstrate their medium, exchange thoughts and ideas, and possibly offer hands-on learning. Artists interested in being considered for this program should email Gretchen at aunerg@charter.net or Betty at feder.betty@gmail.com as soon as possible.


Booth Fee (Due Feb. 27):

Booth fees are due by February 27. BOOTH ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE MADE BASED ON THE DATE YOUR PAYMENT IS RECEIVED AND AT THE DISCRETION OF ART ON THE SQUARE. Specific location requests cannot be guaranteed but every effort will be made to fulfill these requests. Refunds will be made for any difference between the requested location and the actual assigned location

Double Booths: Double booths (corner booth and a row booth) will only be available at the end of each row and there will only be 8 double booths offered ($925 fee).

Booth assignments will not be available until check-in at the event.

Withdrawal Deadline: The last day to withdraw without losing your booth fee is April 1st.

Location: Art on the Square takes place in downtown Belleville, Illinois on the historic Public Square at the intersection of Main Street and IL HWY 159.

Lodging: A Super 8 motel is located within walking distance to the fair site. Numerous hotels and motels are located along interstate 64 in Fairview Heights, IL and Shiloh IL. Below is a Google Map of local accommodations.

Tents & Rentals: A 10×10 white tent is required for the show. Art on the Square has a very limited number of tents, chairs, and tables for rent. For Art on the Square rentals, please contact Leigh Sindelar at lsindel1@att.net as soon as possible.

Check-in: Early check-in and booth assignments will be available after 2:00pm on Thursday, May 14th at the Artist Check-in and Hospitality Center, located at 19 Public Square. Do not arrive at check-in earlier than 2:00pm. Check-in closes on Thursday at 7:30pm and will reopen on Friday, May 15th at 7:00am. Any artist who does not check in before 2:00pm on Friday, May 15th or complete their booth set-up before 3:00pm will forfeit their space. Please make your travel plans accordingly.

Important: Please come with enough weights and sandbags to secure your tent against Midwest weather. A limited supply of sandbags will be available from our Grounds and Logistics team. Please bring enough of your own weights to safeguard your tent and your artwork.

Art on the Square provides power to each booth, but artists must provide their own display lighting.

Exhibiting: You must be in attendance during the entire show. Booth sitters will be available in the case of an emergency.

Hospitality: Food will be delivered to your booth throughout the weekend. This will include snacks, water, and some meals. Breakfast items will be available at the Artists Hospitality Center. You will be able to request vegetarian meals at a later date. Snacks, drinks, and restrooms will also be available at the Artists Hospitality Center.
