LOCATION: Art on the Square takes place on the historic Public Square in downtown Belleville, IL at the intersection of Main Street and Illinois Street (IL HWY 159).

LODGING:  A Super 8 motel (East Main Street) is a very short walk to the fair site.  Numerous hotels and motels are located along Interstate 64 in Fairview Heights, IL and Shiloh, IL and are 15 minutes from the fair site. These include Holiday Inn, Drury Inn, La Quinta, Holiday Inn Express, Candlewood Suites, Baymont Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Super 8 (Fairview Heights), Econo Lodge and TownePlace Suites.

TENTS & RENTALS:  A 10 X 10 white tent is required.  Art on the Square has a few tents, chairs and tables for rent. Tents are $200, 6’ X 8’ tables are $10 each, chairs are $2 each and bar stools are $4 each.  For Art on the Square rentals, contact Leigh at lsindel1@att.net before September 10, 2021.

CHECK-IN:  Early check-in and booth assignments will be available AFTER 2:00PM on Thursday, October 21st in the Artists Check-In and Hospitality Center at 19 Public Square.  Do not arrive at check-in before 2:00PM.  Check-in on Thursday will close at 7:30PM and will reopen on Friday, October 22nd at 7:00AM until 2:00PM.

SET-UP:  Early set-up on Thursday, October 21st will be available once check-in is completed. The Belleville Police Department will provide 24-hour security from Thursday until the show closes on Sunday.

ALL artists MUST complete their set-up before 3:00PM on Friday, October 22nd or forfeit their space.  Make your travel plans accordingly.

IMPORTANT:  Please be sure to come with enough weights and sandbags to secure your tent against Midwest weather and crowds.  A large number of sandbags will be available from our Grounds and Logistics team.  Please make use of these to safeguard your tent and your work.

Art on the Square provides power to each booth but artists must provide their own display lighting.

EXHIBITING:  You must be in attendance during the entire show.  Booth sitters will be available upon request.

HOSPITALITY: Food will be delivered to your booth throughout the weekend. This will include snacks, water and some meals.  Breakfast items will be available in the Hospitality Center at 19 Public Square (the St. Clair County Community Center). The artist hospitality area will be open throughout the weekend with snacks, restrooms, seating and drinks.

PR IMAGES: Art on the Square does extensive advertising which includes design magazines, tourism materials and regional billboards. All these ads feature the work of selected artists. To have your work considered, you must send an image at 350dpi to dwilson520@aol.com before September 1st.

By accepting our invitation to the 2021 Art on the Square, the artist authorizes the use of the submitted application images or electronic reproductions thereof for the purpose of Art on the Square publicity, documents or archival purposes without charge for a period ending on March 1, 2022.

BOOTH FEES AND PAYMENT: Booth fees are due by September 1, 2021 and may be paid with PayPal (see below) or by check. Booth assignments will be made based on the date that your payment is received and at the discretion of Art on the Square based on availability. Specific location requests and double booths cannot be guaranteed but every effort will be made to fulfill these requests.

Booth fees will not be refunded after October 1, 2021.

IMPORTANT ALERT:  The show will still be on the four streets that intersect the Square but, due to construction on the Court House plaza, there  may be some necessary rearrangement of booth locations on the involved quadrants.

Booth assignments will not be available until artist check-in.
